By moonlight the trees looked like walls
in front of our light frozen eyes
wind sang in the background about legends
never revealed to us
freezing upon the roots our bodies naked and fragile
praying to the stars to bring us shelter

every step crushed our bones, blood changed from red to silver
sharp stones felt like new hope beneath our feet
and then an empty scream filled the cold air:
“look for the fire at the high mountains!”

our faces started to melt while the scream turned to a defeaning whisper
we could hear the voices of our ancestors
echoes of a guiding light in the middle of this dark and frozen temple

the stones then opened like mothers womb
presented in the form of a dark cold cave while spiritual voices were singing from the inside

a female figure pointed to the entry as a fire with charm covered her sinful body,
silver hair framed her solemn face
screams became melodies of ancient chants

the halls of Ostara so pleasant and mesmerizing
a sweet smell of fertility from the ground filled the air…
...before we vanished into eternity
